The clinic will provide primary care to IPS teachers and employees at no cost while also serving as a primary care hub for the area’s senior community.
“This project is a great reminder of how private and public partners can work collaboratively to impact our local community. We hope this new facility brings positive change toward those who need more convenient access to innovative healthcare facilities,” said Innovcare President Tyson Chastain.
Innovcare says the facility is the culmination of a decade-long effort to revitalize the area surrounding the abandoned Keystone Towers, which were demolished in 2011. The project was started in 2012 with the city of Indianapolis working with Indianapolis-based real estate developer TWG.
Innovcare says the first phase was the construction of the $8.2 million The Point on Fall Creek Apartments which opened in 2013, and phase two followed close behind with the development of the $8.7 million apartment building Fall Creek View.
The medical facility, located at at 4405 Allisonville Road, is the third and final phase of the project with construction set to begin this summer, with an opening planned in the fall.
