Indianapolis, which has hosted the combine since 1987, is expected to bid on future events.
This would not be the first time Indy has had to compete to host the combine. While the NFL did not previously have an official bidding process, Visit Indy told Inside INdiana Business in 2019 the city was competing with other major cities such as Los Angeles and Dallas to host the event.
Visit Indy says the combine generates more than $10 million for the city.
This year was the first time in more than 30 years that the combine was not held in Indy as the NFL made adjustments to the event’s format due to the pandemic.
