Southwestern Indiana Businesses Eligible for Grants

Subscribe NowSmall businesses in 15 Southwestern Indiana communities are now eligible for more than $3 million in competitive grant funding through the Evansville Regional Economic Partnership. Each community has received up to $250,000 in funding from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs’ COVID-19 Response Program to provide relief during the pandemic.
The communities include Boonville, Chandler, Elberfeld, Fort Branch, Gibson County, Haubstadt, Lynnville, Mount Vernon, New Harmony, Newburgh, Oakland City, Posey County, Princeton, Vanderburgh County and Warrick County. The partnership says funding may be used for working capital, operation expenses or to support remote work costs, and are designed to help high-risk businesses, including food and beverage, personal care and retail sectors.
The partnership says small businesses meeting certain criteria in the following are encouraged to apply. Among the eligibility requirements, applicants must be a legal business, including self-employed individuals; must meet the definition of a small business; and demonstrate the direct correlation of their business disruption from COVID-19.
