ERAPSCO Awarded $71M Military Contract Boost

Subscribe NowThe U.S. Department of Defense has awarded a more than $71 million contract extension to ERAPSCO in Columbia City. The contract calls for the production of 20,000 sonobuoys in support of annual training, peacetime operations and testing expenditures.
ERAPSCO is a joint venture between Columbia City-based Ultra Electronics Holdings plc and Illinois-based Sparton Corp. (NYSE: SPA). Sonobuoys are air launched expendable, electro-mechanical anti-submarine warfare acoustic sensors designed to relay underwater sounds associated with ships and submarines.
The work will be performed in De Leon Spring, Florida and Columbia City and is expected to be completed in March 2023.
The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
