Indy-based High Alpha is also participating in this investment round.
Boardable provides an online management platform for nonprofit boards.
The tech firm says the latest round of funding will allow the company to expand its team, pursue new markets and build new product capabilities of its software.
noted Rexhi Dollaku, Principal at Base10 Partners. “Boardable’s solution is easy to use and helps non-profits run their organizations better,” said Rexhi Dollaku, principal at Base10 Partners. “We’re proud to support Boardable as they help solve these back-office problems for non-profits so that they can focus on what they do best: creating the change we need.”
The software allows nonprofits to centralize communication, whether it is scheduling meetings, conducting virtual meetings or organizing minutes from the meetings.
Boardable says nonprofits often face a unique challenge because their boards and committees are often made up of volunteers.
“Most nonprofits manage their board members with ‘digital duct tape’—endless email threads and file-sharing services. It’s a terrible experience that drains the board members and staff,” said Jeb Banner, chief executive officer of Boardable
Just a year ago, the company closed on a $3 million seed round of funding. The funding round was led by High Alpha Capital and included participation from VisionTech and Collina Ventures, all Indianapolis-based investors.
In June 2019, Banner was featured on Inside INdiana Business with Gerry Dick to talk about earlier rounds of funding. Watch the video below:
