DOXA says the investment will help the company to accelerate its pace of acquiring and partnering with niche-focused Managing General Agencies, Wholesale Brokers, and Program Administrators.
“Century Equity Partners shares our vision for building a world-class niche underwriting organization,” said Matt Sackett, chief executive officer of DOXA. “With Century’s insurance distribution investment experience and track record of supporting strategic M&A programs, we have established a strong foundation for the next phase of growth.”
It has been a year of expansion for the Fort Wayne business. In April, it acquired insurance firms in Florida and Missouri. It also acquired a Washington-based healthcare broker in February.
While terms of the transaction were not disclosed, Century acquired a majority interest in DOXA with the company’s senior management team maintaining a meaningful equity interest in the firm.
