The town says the certification assures companies the site is ready for expedited development.
The 7.6-acre greenfield site is located within the 80-acre Plainfield Logistics Park, which is under development by Indianapolis-based Ambrose Property Group.
“We’re excited about the addition of Data Center Site Certification to one of our parcels at Plainfield Logistics Park,” said Eric Seamands, development manager for Ambrose Property Group. “This will only further diversify the type of businesses and jobs the park will be able to attract and bring to the Plainfield community.”
Plainfield worked with Duke Energy and Verisite to increase the marketability for data center development.
“The Town of Plainfield is a nationally recognized center for logistics, distribution, and ecommerce,” said Plainfield Town Manager, Andrew Klinger. “We pride ourselves on being a business-friendly community with close proximity to an international airport and major highways. Establishing a recognized Data Center is just another attribute we can offer to those looking to relocate or grow in this town.”
