The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded Honeywell International Inc (NYSE: HON) in South Bend a more than $25 million long-term contract. The contract calls for parts associated with the wheels and brakes of the F/A-18 aircraft.

The three-year contract calls for all the work to be done by December 2023, with all work to be performed in South Bend.

The DoD says Honeywell was the only firm to solicit the job. The Naval Supply Systems Command, Weapon Systems Support in Philadelphia is the contracting activity.
