In a notice to the state, Signature says the Bluffton facility closure, which is expected to be permanent, will affect 33 full-time, five part-time and 10 PRN employees.
Some of the affected positions include CNA, dietary staff, LPN, and medication aide, among others. The healthcare provider says operations will wind down over the next 60 days, and the facility is expected to permanently close by December 31.
The healthcare provider says it is providing some of the Bluffton employees an employment transfer option at other Signature facilities. Employees who have not transferred or accepted a transfer to another Signature-affiliated facility when the Bluffton facility closes will not have the right to “bump” or “replace” other employees.
