The organization’s list features 20 wineries, including Oliver Winery in Bloomington, Winzerwald Winery in Bristow and Anderson’s Winery and Vineyard in Valparaiso.
Visit Indiana says the Hoosier state has more than 100 award-winning wineries.
“Indiana is among the top 20 wine-producing states,” said Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch. “The wine industry now contributes more than $2.4 billion to the state’s economy.”
According to Wine Business Monthly, Oliver Winery ranks as the 44th largest in the country due to its wine production. The organization says Oliver is also the oldest existing winery in the state and now includes a 54-acre vineyard, full-processing facility and a tasting room.
“Amazing wines are being made in this state from dry to sweet, and even fruit wines,” said Misty Weisensteiner, Director of Visit Indiana. “Even if you are not a wine aficionado, there are choices for every palate.”
