IU Online, Infosys Partner for Employee Degrees

Subscribe NowIndia-based technology services company Infosys (NYSE: INFY), which has a growing presence in Indiana, is partnering with Indiana University to offer degree programs to employees. IU says the agreement will offer five undergraduate and 12 graduate degree programs in emerging and high-demand scientific, technological and business management fields.
The university says the degree programs are open to eligible Infosys employees throughout the U.S.
“As one of the nation’s leading research universities, IU is pleased to provide a diverse, rigorous and rewarding academic experience to students, as well as a critical tool to help our partners such as Infosys further develop their workforce,” said Chris Foley, associate vice president for academic affairs and director of the Indiana University Office of Online Education. “Corporate-university partnerships such as this have proven to drive economic growth both locally and globally by enabling individuals and entire organizations to respond to the rapidly changing needs of the marketplace.”
Through the partnership, IU says degree programs are available in informatics, business administration, cybersecurity, strategic management and marketing. IU’s online courses are developed and taught by faculty, and
The university says applicants must meet the same admissions requirements as traditional IU students.
In 2018, Infosys opened its Technology and Innovation Hub in downtown Indianapolis with the goal of creating up to 2,000 jobs by 2021. Earlier this year, the company opened its Cyber Defense Center inside the tech hub.
Construction is currently underway on the first phase of the company’s U.S. Education Center at the former Indianapolis International Airport terminal.
