ERAPSCO Awarded Military Contract Boost

ERAPSCO, which is a joint venture between Columbia City-based Ultra Electronics Holdings plc and Illinois-based Sparton Corp. (NYSE: SPA), will provide engineering support services, systems engineering, design and development efforts for qualification and testing of the sonobuoys by the Navy, as well as the delivery of production representative sonobuoys.
The work will be split between DeLeon Springs, Florida and Columbia City. The contract is expected to be fulfilled by January 2021.
The Naval Air Systems Command in Maryland is the contracting activity. In October, ERAPSCO was awarded up to $220 million for the production and delivery of nearly 170,000 underwater sound series sonobuoys.
