Carmel Electrical Testing Firm Acquired

The independent, third-party electrical testing firm has been acquired by Potomac Testing in Maryland, though financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
EMT provides power distribution equipment testing, maintenance and life extension services. In addition to similar services, Potomac Testing provides planned and emergency field services, engineering studies, and retrofitting and refurbishing of electrical equipment.
Ken Bassett, president of Potomac Testing, says the deal will allow both companies to better serve and expand their combined customer base.
“We are very pleased to join Potomac Testing and the TechPro Power Group family of companies,” Brian Borst, president of EMT, said in a news release. “We will be able to continue our deep commitment to the highest standards of safety, quality and service to customers, while enabling our team to further grow professionally as part of an industry-leading organization.”
It was not immediately clear if any jobs would be affected as a result of the acquisition.
