Yamaha Motor Co. LTD. is pausing production at all of its U.S.-based manufacturing subsidiaries, including a plant in Indianapolis, due to COVID-19 concerns. 

The decision affects Yamaha Marine Precision Propellers in Indianapolis and six other plants across the country. 

“The wellbeing of employees is of utmost importance,” said Bob Starr, Corporate Communications Manager for Yamaha Motor Corp, U.S.A. “This step is being taken with the factories to protect the health and safety of all team members, their families and our local communities.”

Starr says the decision to pause production will be evaluated on a weekly basis and will continue as long as necessary.
