With business closures and event cancellations, WorkOne expects to see individuals who face permanent or temporary job losses.
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD) is reminding Hoosiers that applying for unemployment insurance benefits is completed electronically. Hoosiers can apply on a computer or smartphone.
The agency says workers who lost their jobs should first file for unemployment insurance through the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.

The site can assist affected workers with the unemployment insurance filing process, including information regarding frequently asked questions about payment, benefits, claims and vouchers.
WorkOne Indy has closed its main office at 4410 N. Shadeland until further notice. It has also discontinued its community services at embedded locations, such as the Indianapolis Public Library.
The agency says some workshops be may be suspended as it deals with staffing levels being impacted by COVID-19.
The weekly job fair at WorkOne Indy has been canceled until further notice due to bans against large group gatherings.
Individuals currently receiving unemployment insurance, and who have recently received letters requiring them to attend a Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment orientation workshop at WorkOne Indy, are exempt for the next four weeks or through the week of April 17th. These individuals are not required at this time to visit WorkOne Indy.
