According to our partners at WTHI-TV, the new health space will be capable of serving 10,000 veterans, providing not only primary care, but mental health services, a pharmacy, and an eye clinic.
“It’s been on our radar for some time that our Terre Haute clinic was too small and really wasn’t providing the services that we know our veterans in that area need,” Acting VA Medical Center Director Laura Ruzick told WTHI. “We are so, so thrilled to be able to bring that to the whole Terre Haute community.”
The VA says crews will break ground next spring and hope to be operational in the summer of 2021.
The new clinic will be built on the city’s eastside off State Road 46 near the Walmart.
