The company, which manufactures structural foam products, initially bought and expanded its Bluffton facility in 2017 and will now invest $26 million to triple its footprint.
The company has broken ground on a 240,000-square-foot expansion to the facility, which currently stands at 170,000 square feet. The latest expansion, combined with the initial move to Bluffton in 2017, represents a total investment of $41 million and will result in more than 200 new jobs.
"When we first came to town, our vision wasn’t quite this big," said David Rupp, owner of 20/20 Custom Molded Plastics. “Recently, we purchased Fort Wayne Plastics and their equipment so their customers are moving to this facility; with the additional requirements of our existing customers, our project has grown."
20/20 Custom Molded Plastics produces products such as pallets, carts, in-ground enclosures, pool panels, and floating dock systems, among others for a variety of industries. The company expects to complete the expansion in the second half of 2019.
