Officials in southern Indiana will Wednesday cut the ribbon on the new TownPlace Suites by Marriott in Jeffersonville. The extended stay hotel features more than 90 studio and one-bedroom suites just across the Ohio River from Louisville.

One Southern Indiana says the suites come with fully-equipped kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas. The hotel itself features free Internet access, a fitness center, an indoor/outdoor connecting pool and dining at the Bridge House restaurant.  The hotel is also within walking distance of most downtown Jeffersonville restaurants.

Representatives from TownPlace Suites Marriott, the city of Jeffersonville and One Southern Indiana will be on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony, which is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
