Purdue Research Aims to Improve Intersection Safety
Researchers from Purdue University and the Indiana Department of Transportation are developing technology that could help improve the safety of drivers at intersections. Howell Li, principal research analyst at Purdue's Lyles School of Civil Engineering, and his team are working on what they call "traffic signal cabinets," technology that can adjust traffic signals to reduce the number of drivers who run red lights.
