Work to Begin on ‘The Kube’

The facility will sit on the former Hammond FOP site near Dowling Park, the Jean Shepherd Center and Purdue University Northwest. City leaders say The Kube, along with the new Hammond Sportsplex, will help make the Lake County city a destination for sporting events and tournaments for organizations throughout the Midwest.
Hammond Mayor Tom McDermott and representatives from the Hammond Redevelopment Commission and Ice Kube LLC will take part in Wednesday afternoon’s groundbreaking.
