The Fort Wayne Public Art Commission recently picked Columbus, Ohio firm Designing Local to develop the master plan. The plan is being funded by gifts and contributions from the Fort Wayne Chamber Foundation and the Fort Wayne Development Commission.
The plan hopes to create an environment that supports diversity, collaboration, economic vitality and creativity. Members of the subcommittee of the Public Art Commission are meeting Thursday with representatives of Designing Local to begin laying out the plan. Public input will also play a critical role in the plan, and area residents will be asked to share their views at public meetings and also through an online survey.
The master plan is expected to be complete in the fall of 2019.
