South Whitley-based modular building provider Whitley Manufacturing has made a leadership change. The company, which began just after World War II to provide homes for returning veterans, has promoted Drew Welborn to president.

Welborn will officially serve as president of Whitley Manufacturing, Whitley East in Pennsylvania and the Whitley Evergreen in Washington. Welborn began with the company in 2007 after serving as an attorney with Baker and Daniels in Fort Wayne.

The company says Simon Dragan will remain as chief executive officer.

“Drew has been a key part of our success and we are thrilled to promote him to this important position,” said Dragan.

Whitley Manufacturing operates four manufacturing plants across the country.
