Whitestown Town Manager to Resign

Dax Norton, who has served in the role since 2013, says he will step down at the end of the month to begin a new career in the private sector.
Norton shared his resignation letter in a Facebook post, along with a message saying the move is a "family decision." He did not specify the type of career to which he will be moving.
The Boone County town also made the announcement on Facebook saying, "It is with mixed emotions that we announce the resignation of Town Manager, Dax Norton. We are grateful for his leadership, vision, and hard work over the past 5 years. We wish Dax and his family the very best in the future."
Details on naming Norton’s successor were not provided. Norton was appointed town manager after serving as director of the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs. He has also previously served as executive director of the Boone County Economic Development Corp. and the Blackford County Economic Development Corp.
