Subscribe NowWesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University has promoted Joanne Solis-Walker to the newly-created position of assistant dean of global theological education. She has been director of education for Latino and Latina studies for the past seven years. Solis-Walker was the key figure in starting the Seminary’s Master of Divinity in Spanish (onsite and online). As assistant dean, she will oversee the development of the Hispanic program and the Seminary’s growing international programs and is responsible for the ongoing development of the Seminario Wesley catalogue and the faculty handbook. Solis-Walker earned a Ph.D. in organizational leadership and development from Regent University. Prior to joining Wesley Seminary, she served as director of Hispanic mobilization for FollowOne International and director of the Latino/Latina Studies Program at Asbury Theological Seminary. She also holds a Master of Divinity with a focus on pastoral studies/theology from Asbury Theological Seminary. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology-Industrial Psychology from the Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico.
