TechPoint Chief Executive Officer Mike Langellier calls Wechsler "fearless, inspiring and passionate" in his work for tech and entrepreneurship in Indiana.
Wechsler founded Launch Fishers in 2012. It has grown into the state’s largest coworking space, spanning 52,000 square feet and housing more than 600 members. In 2017, he announced the Indiana IoT Lab, which officially opened last month. The facility aims to be an innovation and commercialization hub for Internet of Things technology and companies.
Previous Trailblazer Award winners include Angie’s List founder Angie Hicks, former Salesforce Marketing Cloud CEO Scott McCorkle and ExactTarget co-founder and former CEO Scott Dorsey.
TechPoint, Indiana’s tech growth initiative, has also already announced some of this year’s People’s Choice Mira Awards. They include DeveloperTown’s Tiny House Village as Best Tech Space, Kronos Inc.’s Indianapolis Tech Center Interview Blitz as Best Tech Event and Upper Hand’s Oakley Brand Icon Performance shirt as Best Tech T-shirt or Swag.
Wechsler will be honored along with other Mira winners at a sold-out awards ceremony on April 28 at the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis. You can see the full list of nominees by clicking here.
