Warsaw-based GemViz LLC said this week the funding from Elevate’s Community Ideation Fund will be used to further develop its software that seeks to improve diagnostic accuracy and optimize treatment plans.
The GemViz platform is designed to securely integrate all available patient data sources. The company says leveraging real-time patient data can help healthcare providers make informed decisions, resulting in better clinical outcomes.
The company plans to use the award to create a functional prototype as it works to bring the technology to market.
GemViz was founded in August 2022 by CEO Mike Cusick, Chief Operating Officer Jody Claypool and Chief Technology Officer Vinay Tikka.
“We are thrilled to receive this funding from Elevate Ventures’ CIF program,” Cusick said in a news release. “This will enable us to advance our technology and bring it one step closer to benefiting patients and healthcare providers.”
The Community Ideation Fund was created to support early-stage companies in Indiana. The fund provides investments of $5,000 to $20,000.
“GemViz is enhancing the physician’s understanding of the patient, driving better interactions, diagnosis, and outcomes,” Elevate Ventures Entrepreneur-in-Residence Dan Meek said.
It was not immediately clear if any jobs would be created as a result of the funding. GemViz did not respond to multiple requests from IIB for more information.
