The agreement formalizes the supply of steel components for Wabash’s manufacturing operations.
Wabash said in a news release that Steel Dynamics has been a supplier for the company for the past 14 years. The new agreement, the company said, includes backup supply from multiple Steel Dynamics facilities.
“We are excited to formalize our long-standing relationship with Steel Dynamics,” Wabash Vice President of Global Supply Chain Richard Mansilla said in the release. “This agreement fortifies our supply chain with high-priority capacity during critical demand periods, ensuring our ability to meet customer needs without the constraints often faced by other manufacturers.”
Steel Dynamics President and Chief Operating Officer Barry Schneider said the agreement aligns both companies to better serve the future demands of the commercial transportation industry.
Wabash said it has similar agreements in place with other suppliers, including Rockland Flooring, J.B. Hunt, and Hydro.
