He previously served as an assistant account executive. Terlep is a member of the firm’s education/nonprofit practice group and serves some of the nation’s leading mission-driven organizations in thought leadership, message development, media relations and grassroots advocacy. He previously worked at The Borgen Project, a nonprofit advocacy organization fighting global poverty. Terlep received a Pinnacle “Best in Show” award from the Public Relations Society of America’s Hoosier Chapter for excellence in digital communications. He earned his B.A. in political science from DePauw University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude.
Hannah Riffle (pictured) has been hired as an account executive. She is a member of the media relations and behavioral science practice groups. Her portfolio includes local education, healthcare and nonprofit clients, as well as several Fortune 500 corporations and their corporate social responsibility initiatives. Riffle previously served as an account coordinator at a full-service public relations, advertising and digital agency. In 2017, she created a communications strategy for a nonprofit facing a potentially door-closing legal matter. In 2016, she received the Daniel J. Edelman/PRSSA Award for the Outstanding Public Relations Student and interned in the consumer practice at Edelman, a global communications marketing firm. Riffle earned her B.S. in public relations from Ball State University, where she led the local chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America and its successful bid to host the 2016 national conference, attracting more than 1,000 students from across the country to Indianapolis.
Also, Luis Sorto joins the team as the Alfred E. Fleishman Fellow. He will support the education/nonprofit and diversity & inclusion practice groups. Sorto recently earned his B.S. in foreign service from Georgetown University where he majored in international politics and minored in Arabic. During his time at Georgetown, Sorto focused his academic and professional experiences around access to education, international development and advocacy for immigrants. He worked as a storyteller at the Georgetown University Department of Communications, taking over the University’s social media accounts and managing personal blogs and vlogs for more than 250,000 followers. Sorto also worked at the D.C. Schools Project through the Center for Social Justice, where he led a mentoring, tutoring and advocacy program that provides English language tutoring and support for youth and adults of immigrant backgrounds in Washington.
