Vincennes University Appoints Associate Dean of Students

He will head the Office of Judicial Affairs and oversee the offices of Multicultural Affairs, Student Activities, and International Affairs. Walker comes to VU from Indiana State University. where he served as lecturer in the Higher Education Program at the Bayh College of Education. He taught both campus and on-line courses, counseled graduate students, and was a member of the committee charged with student conduct resolution. His prior experience includes serving as coordinator for Student Support Services and Program development for the NOAA Environmental Cooperative Science Center at Florida A&M University at Tallahassee. Walker also has teaching and administrative experience as director of Percussion Studies and assistant professor at IUPUI, coordinator of Music Business at Winston-Salem State University, and assistant director of Bands at the University of Arkansas, University of Central Arkansas, and University of Texas-Austin. He holds a doctoral degree in Higher Education Leadership from Indiana State University, a master’s degree in Music from the University of Illinois, and a bachelor’s degree in Music from Northern Kentucky University.
