Veedersburg Property Gets ‘Prime’ Designation

A 31-acre piece of land in the town of Veedersburg has just received the designation of Indiana Site Certified Prime. That certification, from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs, means the property is ready for economic development.

The land, known as the Bell Property, sits about a quarter-mile off Interstate 74, making it an ideal location for development in Fountain County.

“With this designation, Veedersburg has taken a step to broaden our economic development efforts and entice companies to become part of our community,” said Veedersburg Town Council President Ken Smith.  

Smith says all utilities are available at the site and the town is willing to revise zoning to include commercial or industrial.

“These site certified locations underscore Indiana’s continued commitment to working with our local partners and communities to foster business growth and economic development opportunities,” said Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch, who also serves as the Secretary of Rural Development, the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs’ (OCRA)
