The private university is working with Florissant, Missouri-based Relearnit Inc. to offer an online master’s degree in public health, master’s degree in healthcare administration and post-professional doctor of occupational therapy degree, the company said this month.
“These online programs offer students the benefits of flexibility, increased accessibility and online collaboration,” Eric Johnson, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs for Valparaiso University, said in a news release. “We’re excited to offer these programs that blend the best of Valpo with the ease of online learning.”
Relearnit offers a range of services to universities, whether curriculum development, faculty recruitment, admissions or marketing, according to its website. It targets education in professions that the Bureau of Labor Statistics identifies as high demand.
Employment of medical and health services managers is projected to grow 28% from 2022 to 2032, much faster than the average for all occupations, according to the bureau.
Located in northwestern Indiana, Valparaiso University serves nearly 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students.
