USI to Celebrate 50 Years

They include a Founders’ Day Luncheon, the premier of a documentary about the school and a formal celebration dubbed the "Party of the Decades."
USI will host its Founders’ Day Luncheon on Tuesday, September 15. It will include Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke, USI Board of Trustees members and members of the former Southern Indiana Higher Education Inc. organization, which played a big part in the university’s founding.
The school will premier the documentary, "Shaping the Future: The University of Southern Indiana," on Wednesday, September 16. It will also air that evening on WNIN in Evansville.
The celebration week will also include multiple reunions. USI AMIGOS, who have served as student orientation leaders, will have their reunion on Friday, September 18. The Multicultural Center will host a three-day reunion during the week.
The capstone event is the "Party of the Decades" on Saturday, September 19.
