The $22.7 million in work includes a new St. Francis Chapel in the center of the Fort Wayne school’s Spring Street campus and an expansion and modernization of Achatz Hall of Science.
The projects will be funded through the ongoing Faith & Reason Campaign and the university says the improved Achatz Hall of Science will boost its commitment to in-demand science and health care programs.
USF President Sister M. Elise Kriss says "the impact of these two projects, in the heart of the Spring Street campus, will significantly transform our campus environment."
The chapel is set to be complete next year and the full science building project is slated to wrap up in 2019.
