University Lofts, a 118-unit apartment complex, was developed through a partnership with Indianapolis-based Strategic Capital Partners LLC.
UIndy says students are already living in the complex, which features single, double and quad rooms. Crews broke ground on the site about nine months ago. President Robert Manuel says the project shows the university’s focus on "creating community-gathering places where learning happens so that we can do our best work together."
The 300-bed apartment complex sits on two acres of land next to campus. The school says it is also close to the city’s planned rapid transit bus Red Line, which will connect students to downtown Indianapolis and other popular destinations.
