The universities said this week that the move broadens the pathway for VU students to seamlessly transition to UE.
The original agreement was designed to facilitate the transfer of VU students into engineering programs at UE. Now, the partnership includes all applicable VU academic programs leading to bachelor’s degrees at UE, with the exception of a few select majors and specialty degree programs.
“This partnership will hopefully open the door for more transfer pathways between our schools which will streamline the transition for VU students and provide them with substantial financial support as they pursue their academic goals,” Cherie Leonhardt, manager of transfer admission at UE, said in a news release.
To be eligible for guaranteed admission to UE, students at Vincennes must complete an Associate of Science degree and graduate with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Students will also receive a minimum academic scholarship of $10,000 per semester for up to five semesters.
The enhanced agreement will take effect for the fall 2025 transfer class, UE said.
“We are proud to see VU Trailblazers take advantage of these types of collaborations,” Vincennes President Chuck Johnson said. “We are confident in our graduates and pleased to see their efforts rewarded through these opportunities.”
