GHK Truss LLC plans to invest $1 million to boost production at its Clark County facility, most of which will be dedicated to new machinery and equipment, and will add up to 15 jobs to accommodate increased demand.
GHK was founded in 2008 and has grown to more than 40 employees over the last 15 years.
“We’re excited for the opportunity to grow,” Co-founder Mike Gilley said in a news release. “Our business has become a trusted brand, and adding the new machinery and employees over the next few years will allow us to continue that trust for our current and future clients.”
The company says about $840,000 will be invested in the new equipment, with $170,000 going toward building improvements. Another $5,000 will support new furniture, fixtures and IT hardware.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. has offered GHK Truss up to $175,000 in conditional tax credits, which the company will not be eligible to claim until Hoosier workers are hired for the new jobs.
The project also has support from local officials.
“The Town of Clarksville enthusiastically supports GHK Truss’s plans to expand their current operations,” said Town Manager Kevin Baity. “Their growing presence will continue to add value to our community and local economy. We congratulate GHK Truss on their continued success.”
