If confirmed, Tom Kirsch would serve the Northern District of Indiana and Josh Minkler would continue serving the Southern District of Indiana.
Kirsch is currently a partner with Chicago-based Winston & Strawn LLP. His previous positions include assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Indiana, counsel to the assistant attorney general at the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Legal Policy and clerk for former U.S. District Court of the Southern District of Indiana John Daniel Tinder. Kirsch’s degrees are from Indiana University and Harvard Law School.
Minkler currently has the role on an interim basis and previously served 21 years as an assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of Indiana, including positions like first assistant U.S. Attorney and chief of the Drug and Violent Crime Unit. He holds degrees from Wabash College and Indiana University Maurer School of Law.
