The Archbishop of Indianapolis will give the commencement address at Marian University next month. Joseph Tobin will also receive an honorary Doctor of Public Service degree at the ceremony.

The university will also present honorary Doctor of Public Service degrees to Michael and Rebecca Weaver, co-directors of the Weaver Popcorn Foundation Inc. Michael Weaver is also president and chief executive officer of Whitestown-based Weaver Popcorn Co.

Marni McKinney Waterfield will also receive an honorary Doctor of Business Administration degree. She is the president of the McKinney Family Foundation, a nonprofit organization that aims to promote environmental responsibility

Marian University’s 79th commencement ceremony will be held May 7.
