Tire Recycler Moving to Indiana
The company has built a facility in the Vermillion Rise Mega Park.

The company is investing more than $2 million to relocate operations to Newport, creating up to 40 jobs by the end of 2022.
The company has built a 23,000 square foot facility in the Vermillion Rise Mega Park, which is slated to begin operations in first quarter 2019. Plans call for up to 350,000 passenger tires to be shredded each month. J & R will provide for Pryrolx AG’s Terre Haute plant currently under construction, and will extract oil, metal and carbon black from the shredded tires to make raw materials used in the plastics and rubber industries.
“Indiana’s business climate and the value provided by the site at Vermillion Rise Mega Park created the perfect location for this new facility,” said Janie and Rodney Rogers, owners of J & R Used Tire Service. “We are grateful for the support of the state and the local community, as well as for FBi Buildings, an Indiana company, that brought this new facility to life.”
The company is currently hiring operators, warehouse staff, and maintenance and driver positions. The Indiana Economic Development Corp. has offered J & R up to $300,000 in conditional tax credits, based on the company’s job creation plans.
