Our partners at The Herald Bulletin report the Anderson City Council has approved a seven-year tax abatement for the project, which is expected to create 20 jobs.
The expansion will add 120,000 square feet to the existing 250,000-square-foot Interstate Warehousing facility. Tippman Group Vice President Jason Bransteter tells the publication the facility will have the capacity for further growth and could attract additional business to the city.
“This is our showpiece. It can be expanded to up to 1 million square feet in the future,” said Bransteter. “Some of our biggest clients are looking at property in Anderson near our facility.
The publication says the average hourly wage for the new jobs will be $25.83 with total annual salaries of more than $1 million.
