Three Hoosier craft beer makers bring home top honors

Subscribe NowProfessional brewers from across the U.S. and as far as El Salvador recently competed for top honors in the 2023 Best of Craft Beer Awards competition in Oregon, and three Hoosier beer makers brought home medals. Judges for the three-day competition sampled 2,500 entries in 59 categories.
They awarded 165 gold, silver, and bronze medals to 128 brewery locations around the world.
Indianapolis-based Sun King Brewery brought home two awards.
It won a gold medal in the Golden or Blonde Ale category with its “Sunlight Cream Ale.” The brewer also earned a silver medal in the Spontaneous Fermentation and Mixed Culture beers category with its “Barryl Strawberry.”
Other Indiana winners include Taxman Brewing Company in Bargersville. It earned a gold medal in the Strong Belgian Ales category for its “Qualified” ale.
Moontown Brewing Co. in Whitestown received a bronze medal in the Rare & Historical Beers category for its La Lune Biere.
