The Mind Trust Awarded $3 Million Grant

The funding will be used to continue The Mind Trust’s aim to improve access to high-quality education in Indianapolis.
The Mind Trust says the award will support its three core focus areas. They include launching new schools and education nonprofits, bringing talented teachers into the classroom and engaging communities affected by change in education policies.
“The Fairbanks Foundation has demonstrated time and time again that it is committed to providing every Indianapolis student access to a world-class public school,” said David Harris, founder & CEO of The Mind Trust. “This award comes as The Mind Trust is gearing up to aggressively launch a new set of innovative, high-performing schools over the next few years, and the foundation will be a key partner in this important work.”
Claire Fiddian-Green, president and CEO of the Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation, says one of its primary goals is to support efforts to improve academic outcomes for Indianapolis students. The Mind Trust says it wants to provide access to high-quality public schools for every Indianapolis student.
