Bram Boyd, program manager at The Mill, said in a news release the competition was the biggest since it was started in 2017. The biannual competition is open to any Indiana-based startup with less than $250,000 in annual recurring revenue.
The overall pitch competition winner and the recipient of a $10,000 investment is Therapprove. The company is a software-as-a-service aiming to give caregivers direct access to pediatric therapists.
Founder and CEO Tiffney Vivo said in the release that her company strives to reduce referral wait times for the 26 million American families with children who have a developmental disability or mental health disorder.
“We want to thank the Mill and Flywheel Fund for celebrating Therapprove as the Crossroads Spring 2024 winner—and more grateful still that they are truly celebrating our mission of timely and trustworthy delivery of therapy services for children who need them,” Vivo said. “The experience of the competition was exciting but the prospect of collaboration is even more energizing for a digital health startup like us.”
Tee Genius, the Collegiate competition winner, took home a $5,000 investment from the Flywheel Fund for its product making it easier for courses to manage tee times. The software includes booking and notification features and gives course managers a better understanding of cancellations and no-shows.
