Subscribe NowCarmel-based nonprofit Ben’s Ranch Foundation says there are jobs available for teenagers who are struggling with mental health issues. The organization says it has added new partners who provide paid, part-time internship opportunities at farms and stables.
The mission of Ben’s Ranch Foundation is to harness the healing power of nature and animals and help teens who face mental health challenges. The organization says hard work and connecting with horses and livestock helps teens to deal with anxiety, depression and stress.
“We’ve worked hard to expand the number of farms and stables in our network so that we can immediately meet the growing need for services,” said Ben’s Ranch Foundation founder Brose McVey. “We’ve seen rates of depression and anxiety among teens skyrocket during the pandemic.”
The foundation says Children’s TherAplay in Carmel, K-Trails Equestrian Adventures in Noblesville and Conner Prairie in Fishers are among the new host facilities. Click here to learn more.
