Subscribe NowIndianapolis-based TechPoint has released a new submission and judging process for the 2025 Mira Awards, honoring the best in tech in Indiana. The growth initiative for Indiana’s tech sector said submissions will be open beginning Sept. 12.
In contrast to years past, TechPoint will accept a maximum of 25 submissions for each category. As a result, companies, organizations and individuals are being encouraged to make their submissions early.
The submission process will include a section on why nominees deserve the award alongside categories to highlight their years of service and operation, but require less detailed information compared to previous years.
“Our team continues to look for ways to enhance the Mira Awards and build upon the event’s platform to honor success stories within our state’s tech industry and advanced industries across the board,” TechPoint CEO Ting Gootee said in a news release. “We looked at our event process from start to finish, and with the community’s input, we are excited to create more opportunities for innovators to compete.”
The submissions that meet the required criteria will be forwarded for live interviews with judges, who will review and vote for the winners. The top 10 finalists for each category will be announced in early December.
“Over the years, we have found that it is in the presentations where judges are most compelled to choose the winners,” Gootee said. “The new process lessens the emphasis on preparing information for judges to read or watch in advance of live presentations and gives the finalists more time to focus on developing their pitches to panels of their peers–something that will help them beyond the Mira Awards process.”
The winners will be announced during the Mira Awards Gala on Feb. 27, 2025 at the Palladium in Carmel.
