In an interview with Inside INdiana Business, TechPoint Chief Executive Officer Mike Langellier cites three policy issues that could play a major role in expanding the ecosystem, starting with making the state’s Venture Capital Investment Tax Credit transferable.
"It would make it (Indiana) more attractive for people outside of the state to invest in companies here," says Langellier.
Langellier also says a continued focus on more direct flights can enhance Indiana’s connectedness.
"The more connectedness that we have in our airports and in our relationships in different places is going to be an asset here."
Langellier adds any policy that will enhance Indiana’s perception will be key in attracting and retaining top talent.
"Any policies that help to signal this as a progressive place, that is doing really interesting, compelling things, those are signals to talent that it is a place they want to be," said Langellier. "As we can really enhance our image as a place that talented individuals want to be, and raise families and call home, are going to be really important policy decisions that are going to impact our companies ability to grow."
