TCU is investing $3 million into North Carolina-based Constellation Digital Partners LLC. Seven other credit unions are also supporting the startup.
TCU officials say the technology is the first of its kind designed exclusively for the credit union industry. "Constellation is a game changer," said Chief Executive Officer Paul Marsh. "Constellation will redefine what credit unions everywhere can offer members, allowing all of us to finally provide the services we know our members desire in today’s digital age."
The secure platform, developers say, will serve as a cloud-based marketplace for "next-generation digital financial service experiences."
TCU currently has more than $3 billion in assets and 54 branches throughout Indiana and Michigan.
