Taylor University Names Special Assistant

Subscribe NowReverend Greg Dyson has been named special assistant to the president for intercultural initiatives at Taylor University. He currently serves as director of intercultural leadership at Cedarville University, a role he has held since 2014. Since 2016 Dyson has also served as senior pastor of First Baptist Church of London, Ohio. Additionally, he has also served in a variety of pastoral and educational ministry roles including chaplain, associate pastor, youth pastor and dean of admissions.
Dyson holds an M.S. in Organizational Leadership from Cairn University, a B.A. in Bible from Cedarville University, and a Diploma from Word of Life Bible Institute. He also was ordained as a minister in the American Baptist Church, Springfield, Massachusetts.
According to Taylor President Paul Lowell Haines, EdD, JD, the Special Assistant to the President for Intercultural Initiatives will build on Taylor University’s existing intercultural programs to establish and implement initiatives that will enable all members of the Taylor community to thrive, prosper and benefit from and contribute to the Taylor University mission. Dyson will be a member of the President’s Cabinet, the Deans’ Council, and the Student Development Lead Team.
In his new role at Taylor, Dyson also will work with the University’s leadership to generate a strategic plan for diversity and intercultural initiatives, and then to implement that plan, setting priorities and short-term objectives while tracking progress towards long-term goals.
