Tax Rates Increasing for Two Indiana Counties

The Indiana Department of Revenue says the new rates affect businesses with employees who live or work in either of the counties and have income tax withholdings.
The DOR says Owen County will see its rate increased to 0.025, up from 0.016, while Warrick County’s rate will increase 0.01 from 0.005.
For Indiana residents, county tax rates for individuals are based on the employee’s Indiana county of residence as of January 1, 2021. The DOR says for non-residents, county tax rates are based on the person’s county of principal employment or business on Jan. 1.
