The organization says Paxton, who most recently served as chief nursing officer for Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health, will use her new role to continue progress toward supporting people with disabilities.
Tangram provides employment support for people with disabilities. The organization says Paxton will lead efforts to seek new ways to connect those people with businesses and work to engage the Indianapolis and surrounding communities to create a more inclusive environment.
Paxton has served on the Tangram Board of Directors since 2017
"During Liz’s time with us on the Board of Directors, she has gained an innate understanding for Tangram’s values and services," said Randy Warman, chair of the Tangram Board of Directors. "With her extensive leadership and engagement skills, we’re excited to see her apply herself in furthering this organization."
Before serving as CNO at Riley, Paxton served as director of nursing operations and clinical manager at Riley.
